We loved the hotel's central location, as it was close to most other attractions and very near to the main plaza of this city. The facilities like cleanliness were commendable, and the breakfast options were great with a variety of choices like fruits, cereals, eggs, breads. The staff were very helpful and accommodating with our early morning check-in.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The hotel had a super location, the rooms were nice and the bathroom ok.
There was no heating in the rooms - it can get cold the staff was friendly but when we asked them to book us a hostel in Potosi, they did it, but charges us 17 bol for it. I know it is not expensive but for 17 bol you can call a half an hour to europe in Bolivia... We left brekfast with hunger every morning

The two courtyards are beautiful. The setting in a lovely old building and the entrance give a great impression. The location is excellent- near the central plaza.
The rooms are not as impressive as the exterior. The beds in our room were uncomfortable. The staff at reception were not as friendly as we've come to expect in Bolivia.

The Hostal is really close to the main Plaza, and has a certain "colonial charm" about it. The double suites are large and spacious, room 42 is really large! The bathrooms were clean, the showers were excellent, and bed comfortable. The breakfast room is straight out of 1915 and needs to be seen, and expereinced. Check out the slightly creepy dolls!
Customer service here is very un-welcoming and virtually non-existant. One of the receptionist lady's was really unpleasant and extreamly unhelpful - which was a real shame. Don't expect any help from the "doorman / porter" either...

Tha entire atmosphere about the Hostal Sucre was inviting and welcoming. Location was perfect - 2 blocks from the main square -, price was very reasonable, and the best value for money out of 4 other hotels I stayed at in Bolivia. The staff, were helpfull, pleasant and polite. The hotel itself has lots of character, and retained all of its original Colonial charm. It is run by an elderly couple, who are the owners of the property and clearly take a pride in the service they are offering to guests. It was probably their home before being converted to a hotel. The breakfast - included in the price - was good value ( Jugo, toast and coffee ) served in an elegant lounge on the first floor, and for an additional £1.00, you could have fried or scrambled eggs ! In summary, it was peaceful, quiet, secure, relaxing and welcoming.Easily the best place I stayed in over my 4 weeks in Bolivia!

The location of the hotel is very convenient. Visitors have easy access to various attractions such as the main square. Some rooms are quite spacious and the majority of the rooms have comfortable beds.
Some guests had trouble with excessive noise from the hotel patios or common spaces in the early morning hours, which can impact sleep quality.

The courtyard was the nicest part of the hotel. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the sun. The location was also perfect, just a short walk to the main square and close to all the main attractions in the city. The free breakfast was also a nice touch and the hot water in the bathroom was a must during the cold New Year nights.
The room itself was old and tired, with stained and worn-out furnishings. The TV was static and barely visible and the Wi-Fi was unusable.

The location is excellent, only 1 block from the main square - 25 de Mayo. The courtyard area is nice and relaxing. The room was adequate for my needs and it had a tv with English channels! There is also free internet - first 20 mins.
No information was offered to me at check in regarding breakfast times and location or wifi passwords. Price seemed to be higher in bs than in us $.
